Dog Friendly Walks Nearby

You won’t have to go far to find a great walk, with The Barbican and Sutton Harbour making for one of the city’s most scenic walks and a firm favourite with four legged visitors. The open beauty of Plymouth Hoe is also just minutes away, with sweeping views across Plymouth Sound thrown in for good measure. With both right on our doorstep too, perfect for adding a stop at the pub on your walk.

For walks slightly further out, Mount Edgcumbe Country Park offers acres of woodland and parkland to explore, with plenty of paths, coastal views and space to roam. For something a little wilder, Saltram Park follows the River Plym through parkland and woodland trails, perfect for dogs who like to explore.

Plymouth is perfectly placed for exploring some of the South West’s most beautiful dog friendly beaches. Just along the coast, Bovisand Bay offers golden sand, clear water and plenty of space to roam, making it a great spot for a coastal adventure close to the city.

A short drive away, you’ll find the sweeping sands of Wembury Beach, ideal for long seaside walks, rock pooling and year round dog friendly stretches. Nearby Whitsand Bay offers a more peaceful escape, with miles of unspoilt shoreline and a quieter, more secluded feel perfect for relaxed coastal wanderings. Further afield, some of the South Hams finest beaches such as Bantham, Bigbury and Mothecombe are waiting to be discovered.
